Hi all,
I'm new here and found you as I was searching for an idea for one of my church's pastors. We are doing a pastor appreciation month and have a pastor from Colombia. We are putting containers in our fellowship hall that are symbolic of the pastor's interests to hold cards and gifts from the church family. Do you all have any suggestions for me? Our pastor misses his homeland so, anything with a Colombian theme would be greatly appreciated.
To give you a better idea of size and theme...for our music pastor we're thinking a violin case, for our pastor that has lost bunches of weight and is into that groove we're filling a gym bag, another pastor loves gardening so we're doing a flower pot. Get it? Thanks a bunch, folks!

nazarene says on Sep 28, 2004, 06:37: Thanks, 2retirensa Unfortunately, I'm not sure what part he is from. I'll try to find out, though. Patience is not one of my strong points =). Plus, I need to have this idea and get the item by Thursday. Nothing like short notice, huh?

A "mochila" can help, but I don't think you can find one easily. A sobrero boltiao too, but does are things you can only find in Colombia. An Hamaca, or maybe a nice kniten basquet could work.
