There's really not much to track Once it's there, they send out packet 3 and the ball is back in your court. You should receive a letter from the embassy about 3-4 weeks after the one from the NVC, but you can assume, pretty reliably, that 2 weeks after your NVC letter, the packet is in Bogota.

If you (the US Citizen)have received the letter from the embassy and your Fiance in Colombia hasn't received packet 3, then you can go to the embassy and get it or just download the forms from the internet and do it yourself. Packet 3 doesn't contain anything "personal" other than your case #.

My fiance came to the U.S. a couple of months ago and she still hasn't received packet 3 :) (we just downloaded the forms)

Don't wait for Packet 3 - make your own. There are sample forms and packets available online. Do a search here (I've posted it) on how to create and reply to Packet 3.
