Tousist visa for an awaiting immigrant?

I am married (in Colombia only) to a Colombian and In December our wait for a Family member immigration visa should be down to about 2 months.

Is there anything keeping my wife from receiving a tourist visa, so we can visit relatives, and then completing the process in the US?

You apply for a tourist visa for her and you will screw yourself so bad it is beyond description. JUST WAIT for the other paperwork to go through the process.

You can't have two visas at the same time. Guess which one will be canceled.

ITs unlikley they would give her a tourist visa anyhow...she has a husband in the U.S and might not want to return to colombia when that tourist visa exspires...(that is how immigration would see it).The point is mute though...as everyone here is saying you can,t have two visa,s at the same time... wait it out and forget the tourist visa.
