PBH / colombia (travelguide, pictures) / post |
I am getting really tired of seeing poor and stupid tourists in Colombia. These guys are usually the “backpacker types that have no money so they have to stay in hostels. They like to go around taking pride in their poverty by criticizing the tourists who have money. Well, CONGRADULATIONS on being poor. If I was stupid and had no ambition I too would be poor. Really, what you have (not!) accomplished in life is very easy to have. I am so so soooooo sorry that I have more money than you and enjoy staying in nice hotels. Of course, the Euro-trash-backpacker types like to think “how smart they are since they have seen the “real Colombia. To translate this, they mean to say they have lived like a poor stupid Colombian does who has no money. Great! I wish I too could learn to sleep on the floor and bath in dirty water. That would be a great experience and would make me “smart like the dirty backpackers. When I travel I like to be around clean people who have enough intelligence to figure out how to make money in life. If you cannot afford to stay in at lease the Dann then I think you should stay in your home country and not travel at all. The funny thing is I probably travel a lot more than these dirt-balls but I stay in top-notch establishments instead of flee infested hostels. Yesterday I saw a group of Eurotrash walking around Medellin. They all had backpacks, looked like they had not bathed in a week, the males had not shaven in a while, the females looked like future bagladies, several had the mandatory piercings, etc. I am sure I do not have to give more details to describe these gypsies. I later found out they were from England and wondered just how far things have sunk in the motherland? I really would suggest that the backpackers all go home and stop embarrassing their home country. What must the Colombians think when they see these people? I am sure the poor Colombians who they call “friends think they are great since lowlifes like to be with other lowlifes. But I assure everyone reading this that my friends who live in Poblado think as little of the backpackers as I do. Bottom line is if you do not have money to travel then stay at home!!!! That gringo you see driving around in the rented BMW is me. Do not sneer and make faces at me. I earned my money from hard work. Do you know what work even is? All those Medellin girls you see flocking to me may like me because of my money but I am sure they also like the fact that I can carry on a conversation from going to a top notch U.S. University. I am also sure they like me because I can take them places with class and culture without looking at an empty wallet. I do not think I am better than you because I have money but for all the other reasons as well. I am rich and damn happy!!!! And in the end I will always get the chicas! That is how life works.

They seem to run from one place to the next, why? I don't know. And do they think that everywhere outside of the US people have dreadlocks, so they try to fit in too?
