He's afraid that she'll leave his food out overnight, it will spoil and then poison him.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

WHY WAS IT DENIED THE FIRST TIME? Well, the 'BS' they said was because she is divorced and because she is self employed, those things do not 'lock her up' and make her return to Colombia. Two years later she applied and GOT IT!! My mother is still divorced and self employed, but this time the B-I-T-C-H interviewing in Bogota was in a better mood or had had some weekend fun that se approved it. It is like a lottery.

Well It is EASY, just drop a dime to the Embassy, give them HER info and tell them you do not think she intends to RETURN to Colombia. That USUALLY DOES THE TRICK.

Now this is assuming you THINK she intends to "Stay" there. Otherwise it would be a false statement to a Govt official and could cause you problems.

Well, if you dont want here to come and make situation worse then you could send a discrete message to the immigration that she might be carrying drugs. Then you dont have to worry about her any more. I believe that she would then not even want to come to London any more, to stay with you and to bother you. CA Montañas de Colombia

wow Dude....what goes around comes around. If you love your girl, suck it up for a little bit. Let her see her mom. Unless of course she is actually going to live there for the rest of her life..then talk it over with your woman and tell her the truth about how you feel. But if it's only a visit...you have issues. I am sure she don't see her mom that much...why so selfish? If you love your woman, then do what's best for her. You can always suggest a hotel during her stay.
