Tornado in Barranquilla

Did the Tornado in Barranquilla have any effect on anybody? It seems Tornados are appearing in the oddest locations such as in London England last week. They are very weird looking things from a distance. They look like a black ink trail on a canvass. The sky overhead has a very bright glow while the clouds take on a very ugly green hue.

tornado damage I don't think that the damage was too widespread, but I do remember seeing one barrio in the middle of rebuilding last September. Weather is weird. I'm in no way a weather historian, but all the older locals in Barranquilla say that the city is much hotter now than it was "back in the day". I wonder if that is true.

Was in BAQ a couple of weeks ago in Nov There was significant damage done in certain areas. I have friends whose neighborhoods were hit. We also passed by a couple of schools in another neighborhood that were directly hit. Roofs and walls were still being repaired. The school year in BAQ was extended a couple of weeks in certain areas, due to the damage inflicted by the tornados.

While at Rodadero, we also saw what appeared to be some funnel clouds south of the city out over the water. From what I was told, this type of weather activity (tornados) is a recent phenomenon in the area as a whole, and is occurring more frequently in the north of BAQ. The torrential rains have always occurred. Tornados have occurred previously in the south, Soledad, etc.

Wishful thinking on the heat in Barranquilla. Those older locals must be referring to the ice age. LOL!!! It has always been and remains hot in Barranquilla. Only variances from that occur when those heavenly breezes decide to bless the city, making it tolerable to walk the city in the evening without sweating through your shirt.

El clima en 'Quilla' I assume the OP was talking about the tornado in 2006 that was an F0 on the scale. Like tone said, it did lots of damage in certain areas. A year ago there was a tornado that was more intense, an F1 that hit Soledad and Malambo.

As far as the heat goes, I was in Barranquilla in late October and early November 2006, which is called The Second Summer. It was almost unbearable. The best weather in Barranquilla is starting now..."las brisas" They will continue until March.

Hell, I can remember one time when I was living in Oklahoma, I had started grilling when a storm came up from the southwest. It wasn't long before I was in the middle of a damm tornado. I had to take my little grill and hide it in a corner of the house behind the garage. I heard the garage door start opening by itself and when I opened the back door, it must have affected the pressure because the entire garage door blew in. That was a helluva storm but when it was all done I had some tasty burgers.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.
