HI All. Another problem has arrised. I just realized that the copy of my divorce decree that my fiance has in per posession is not "authorized/certified". Her interview is next week and I won't be able to get her an "authorized" copy by then. Should she go through with the interview even though she doesn't have exactly what they asked for? Or she we re-schedule for a later date.
She doesn't live in Bogota so I don't want for her to take a trip if we know she'll be denied. The divorce decree that I originally sent when I process the original K1 petition did have an authorized copy.
Please let me know your thoughts.

rjstuff says on Dec 19, 2006, 15:21: I think she might be OK Because they have the whole file at the time of the interview. I do not think they require her to produce your divorce decree - only hers, along with other required documents. Good Luck

Crazy4Cali says on Dec 21, 2006, 14:01: Ditto. She only has to bring the papers in the "packet-3" checklist to the interview. It's nice to have a backup copy of your papers "just in case" but, as RJ says, the embassy already has all of YOUR papers going into the interview (less the income/liability form).
