BTW Atrevido.....I love birds too. And as everyone knows, Colombia has more species of birds than ANY country in the world. In fact, some people think that there are more but they just not have been accounted for.

What kind of camera and what kind of lens did you use.

Thank you! Those are amazing - they look like something out of National Geographic. And the colors! I don't know much about birds, but with the exception of a peacock, I don't think you'd see so many colors on a single North American bird.

Here´s two more. My camera is a Canon S3 which has a twelve power zoom. Hummingbird food is easy, one cup of white sugar disolved in one quart of water. Arthur you could get two or maybe three species in Cali if you put out a feeder (Home Center sells them). I´m higher and have had twenty two hummingbird species pass through the yard to date. There are only a couple more I could reasonably expect.

Arthur just lay out cuchuco (cracked corn) on a board and slice some bananos down the middle and put them out. You´ll have plenty of birds and maybe some cool butterflies too on the bananos (when they get over ripe).
