"TIMEOUT" - New Sports Bar in Parque Lleras (El Poblado, Medellin)

If you are familiar with Lleras the new sports bar, "TIMEOUT", is located where "Liverpool" was previously (two doors down from IlForno). They have the Direct TV sports package with a huge projection screen along with several plasmas. Great atmosphere and decor but as usual they are still needed a it more time to get their act together in the kitchen. They serve a great draft beer, actually three varieties, a dark ale known as "Mulata" a slightly lighter ale and an even lighter wheat beer. My preferences are either the Mulata or the other slightly lighter ale. The price, as I can recall, for a liter (yes a full liter) was $13,900 and a medio litro was around $7,500. They offer a "small" pint version but I can't recall the price of it at this time. All in all a place with great potential so stop by and give them a try. And no I am not, in any way, affiliated with this sports bar.

NOTE: If you're the back packer type traveling on a tight budget this may not be the place for you but for me it certainly beats the Champion's and the Tiger Paw's sport bars hands down!

umm sure... why exactly does it beat champions and tiger paw's? for the incredibly low prices of only 13,900 a liter? for the opportunity to be surrounded by pretty people?

Sorry, but I´ll take the "dark cave" of champions with 2,500 pilsen´s, tasty fajitas, and the ability to ask Chris to put on whatever game I want....

How many american sports bars can the medellin economy handle? I guess we'll see ;)

recommendation: show football (soccer) a lot.

Brilliant! thanks for the heads up i'll try and catch it online.

ps recently a few nacional fans were stabbed and killed by medellin supporters... it is best to go as a neutral if you're not in the security of a group!

How much is beer at tiger paw? I wouldn´t mind catching some games but I´m on a really tight budget. Are there discounts if I´m from a low estrato?

haha... beer at tiger paw is relative cheap (by lleras standards). similar to champions i think, 2,500 for a club, i believe.

a quick response.... who goes to a sports bar for the atmosphere? who wants the ESPN zone? It's like going to a sports bar to pick up chicks....

all i want out of my sports bar is A) have the game i want B) cheap beer and C) decent pub food to munch on. and out of those three, the first is far and away the most important.

Do they have Pilsen draft as well?? 13,000 for a liter of beel sounds a little salty. Those microbrewed beers are the same beers they had at the Octoberfest at the the German school in Medellin.

Tiger Paw is fine to watch a game and yes, the beers are 2500.
Good bar food to munch on as well. The cook is a Californian who spent much time in Brazil.
Brian, remember my discount for plugging the place!!!
I hope the place is doing well. See you soon bro!
