Ingles had posted a question about the text message utility on the Tigo website. I am reposting because it may be useful info and the OP didn't select a forum so the post is buried on the second or third page.
In any case, here is the deal.
They did take down the SMS utility. What they have now is a messenger style utility to send texts. First, it asks you for your name and sends a text to the recipient(s) inviting them to join a conversation. They can respond to the text and you will see the message in the app. Anything you type will be sent as a text message. It is a real pain to use and may cost the Tigo recipient per message.
It's a shame they took down the old utility. I used it a lot an the new one sucks. Now I get to go back to sending international texts at 15 cents a pop.
