Hello everyone,
Been a crazy week or so. We had to change general contractors because the old one got kidney stones and had to go home. We have the same crew though and the new GC is actually better. We wanted him before but he was busy. The change actually ended up being a good thing and we are ahead of schedule. We are now about 14 days from the finish of the complete remodel. The place is coming together really nice. Every room has new tile, paint, and doors. All 8 bathrooms have new everything! We have a new kitchen, roof-deck, hot water system, huge sports bar, and beds we custom designed and the best I've seen in a hostel.
I am also locked and loaded for booking on www.hostels.com. The first night available will be Friday, May 2nd. There will be an opening party for guests, and friends/family of the staff on that night.
I can't tell you how excited I am. I'll have pictures to blow everyone anyway about the 24th! I have given everything I have to this project and tried to think of every little detail.
Also the website has been updated at www.tigerpawhostel.com. We have not completely finished it but we have done some good work. Let me know what you think!
Thanks.
Brian

bogotabrian says on Apr 14, 2008, 21:26: This includes a private bath and free breakfast. The rooms like this are actually close to hotel quality minus a TV in the room. Try finding anything close to that near Parque Lleras where the rooms are 120 cop or higher. Other hostels in the area charge 60 COP without a private bath or breakfast and are not near as nice. Dorm rooms are the same cost as other hostels that are a 15 minute walk or more away.
