Tiger Paw Hostel Update....

Things are going ahead of schedule (unbelievable) and we were able to add the roof top deck within budget. The views are going to be amazing. The sports bar design is coming along great too.

We are scheduled to open May 1st and you can check us out at www.tigerpawhostel.com. The website is still under construction and we are finishing rooms now for some nice pictures.

IMHO, the website does not do a good job of promoting the hostel.

It has no character, very generic.

i only know the blacksheep hostel in medellin....personally i stayed in the edgy area under the metro line in the centre not far from the fernando botero statues and vice parts for around 15 mil a nite, but some trannies did lift my wallet with 5000 pesos when i walked back to my hotel pissed and stoned.

How are you heating your hot water?

We use a Fammy showerhead when we need hot water when it is not sunny. Other times we use 33 meters of 1/2 inch pex tubing that is located in our concrete roof to heat 20 liters of water during the day. Our water is heated to 50C gratis! You could do some of the same to lower your hot water bill, if you used CPVC pipe. You could add it beneath your roof deck or beneath other hot parts of your roof.
