Those colombians living in other countries... will you change your nationality?

And what about you colombianos abroad? will you stop being colombians?

except in some countries like in Gemany, they don't have dual nationality, there you have to choose.

"Germany debates dual nationality

For four million foreigners in Germany, the dream of becoming a German citizen while keeping their original nationality may become true this summer.

The government of Gerhard Schröder wants to make it easier to become a German citizen, a procedure currently based on bloodlines - ethnic Germans can automatically become German nationals, whereas the children of immigrants born in Germany are technically foreigners. However, an energetic attack is underway - the conservative Christian Social Union (CSU) has initiated moves to stop Germany ditching its nationality laws".

Colombian people can change their nationality. By the new Constitution Colombian nationals are entitled to dual citizenship. If you no longer want to be "Colombian" a quick stop at MRE or a Colombian consulate and signing a simple form will fix that.,

Oh no guys!!! i did not ask if "it is possible" since I myself have other nationality... My question is more related to: "would you decline your colombian nationality, in order to be a European citizen (for example)?" I know you probably answer "Oh no I am very proud of being colombian" (and so am I)... but what do you think about stop being colombian citizen to be a european citizen...

yeah Morphus and Kat that what I was referring to... if you get another nationality it is because you have to be loyal to your new country... I am going to sound corny but maybe your heart is in Colombia, but you may have to "loyal" to another country which is not the one you were born in...
