things to do with children

Hello to all! My husband and I will be traveling to Colombia from Milan, Italy. We will have approximately one month to visit Bogota, Villavicencio and possibly Cartagena. We will be adopting two little girls 9 and 5 years old. It would be great to know of some activities or places we can visit with children. Any information on any of the above cities would be great. Thanks.

Peter is right there are several theme parks on the out skirts and in the city, swimming, horseback riding, fishing, and there are always the movies, nice theaters in Colombia.
ask any kid in Colombia they will tell you where the good spots are.

Congratulations!
My husband adopted 2 children from Bogota last December. We had a blast there. Monserrate was beautiful. We tried Salitre Magico, but they have pretty strict height restrictions, so my daughter wasn't allowed on all of the rides her brother was, which created a problem. Parque Jaime Duque, about 1 hour outside Bogota, was really nice. We also went to the salt mines at Zipaquira, which we liked.
We went to a really, really cool new place called Divercity, which is in the Santa Fe mall. It's like a theme park built like a mini-city, where the kids learn different "jobs" like being a veterinarian, making Coca-Cola, and working on a fire engine. They get play money for each "job" they do and can buy things with the money later. My kids LOVED this, and I loved it even more because it was really educational, and not expensive!
Good luck and congrats again!!

I met a Norwegian couple that had just adopted a boy in Colombia in San Andrés . They had to stay a while longer and decided to take the boy with them and have a nice beach holiday in San Andrés.

Cheers,
Desi
