Hey Guys and Girls - I am heading down to BAQ next week to see my wife (while my life drifts away waiting for this visa stuff to go through) and we are staying the week n San Andres Island. We are staying at the Decameron. Any thoughts on interesting places to go, see, eat at or just wander around? Thanks

Johny quay is also beautiful but is more a place to chill out and i recomend you have a coco loco with your lunch.

Eclipse says on Oct 6, 2005, 10:59: Things to do I was there in July. The Decameron near the airport is the Isleno. It's like a 10 min walk or 2 min car ride. The Isleno probably has the best beach out of the other Decamerons. The great thing about the Decameron is that you can go to any of the 5 Decameron there and hang out, have lunch or dinner, and enjoy the entertainment there. I believe the Aquarium and Marazul have some kind of entertainment each night. They also provide free shuttle to each hotel. The Aquarium and Isleno is close to the city so you can go shopping and walk around town. The Marazul and San Luis are a little ways away and you'll need to take a taxi or shuttle.

flaleo says on Oct 6, 2005, 11:22: I stayed at the one of the five that is on the east coast, 1/2 to the southern tip. It's isolated from the others and city but we had a scooter which is a must... but this location is the most ecological setting with what I thought was the nicest beach. And it had best access to diving. A couple of the five are older than the others, and the food quality and bars really vary. The inter-resort bus system sucked, very infrequent and ends too early.

alcpa says on Oct 6, 2005, 11:41: Thanks I will do that - I have learned alot about the city during the times that I have been there. Nothing wrong with spending some time in paradise, but getting back to BAQ is good aswell. I have never met a better bunch of people, both family and just starngers on the street. I am looking forward to relaxing on San Andres, though.
