I thought 'sloth' was only a term we, on occasion, use to refer to one another, but in fact...Sloths are lingering even in Colombia. And, there is a photo of the little guy on this link. Happy New Year!

Desideria (Moderator) (Trustee board) says on Jan 1, 2007, 08:00: We had a sloth in the first apartment in Cali, long time ago, I was traveling with my brother and a couple of friends and my brother and I were renting aan apartment on the top of the hill in Juanambú in Cali. One day my brother shows up with this weird-looking animal hanging from a piece of wood, a thick branch or something, ina big basket. He had bought it out on the street. We had it just a few days but failed to make it eat, we tried all kinds of stuff, lettuce, cabbage...but then somebody told us that it only eats the leaves of a certain kind of tree that grows up in the carretera al mar, on the mountainside. So we drove up there and put it up on a tree there... "When shall we three meet again? In thunder, lightning, or in rain?"(First Witch in Macbeth) 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Desideria (Moderator) (Trustee board) says on Jan 1, 2007, 08:36: That La Popa sloth I have pics with the poor old sloth at La Popa, taken last spring. Someone told me that that sloth is very, very old...they wrap that thingie around your neck for the pic and even if it's quite big it feels just cuddly. "When shall we three meet again? goin_south says on Jan 1, 2007, 14:52: is the sloth the one being held? or the one holding? That's cute, morphus. Thanks. You knew if I didn't take that cheap shot, someone else would. goin_south says on Jan 1, 2007, 14:54: I was referring, of course, to the TOP FOTO! If you got another foto of the holder in the bottom foto, we like that, too. (She looks a bit over 14!) goin_south says on Jan 1, 2007, 14:58: morph, that 3rd foto is rather deceiving; if you weren't so white,... I was thinking that was some lighter-skinned woman, with smaller tetas, bending forward, con sus trasero arriba... with the LUCKY SLOTH on her back... being tortured ;) Why Not Colombia?..........Stay Tuned, for more.... utterly worthless, self-indulgent gobbets of nonsense. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

robi666 (Trustee board) says on Jan 1, 2007, 17:20: Sorry, I was wrong. It is just that in the third photo it looked like gynecomastia. I had a friend who was taking too much steroids, and it gave him gynecomastia and it looked exactly like that. Sorry. And he got a little dumb and aggressive, too. goin_south says on Jan 1, 2007, 22:08: Si; the article makes the point of their extremely slow movement. (I'm wondering) What are they doing in Colombia? Why Not Colombia?..........Stay Tuned, for more.... utterly worthless, self-indulgent gobbets of nonsense. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

gringolondinense says on Jan 2, 2007, 02:24: those poor sloths.... i saw a documentary about them once. Apparently they have to climb down from the tree to the ground to take a crap. I thought they were grotesque animals, but those photos on this thread have warmed me to them hhhaahh! so cute awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
