They need to transfer the 2016 Olympic Games from Rio to Bogota asap

Rio is way too dangerous for the Olympic Games:

Rio gang battle claims 14 lives
By Jonathan Wheatley

At least 14 people died in a weekend of violence in Rio de Janeiro, including two policemen who were killed when their helicopter was brought down by warring drug gangs. The violence came just two weeks after Rio de Janeiro was chosen to host the 2016 Olympic Games and highlights concerns over security in the city during the event.

Violence erupted between rival drug gangs in the early hours of Saturday when members of Rio's biggest gang, the Comando Vermelho (Red Command), invaded a hilltop shanty town controlled by a rival gang, Amigos dos Amigos (Friends of the Friends).

The reason for this violence is because Rio's authorities is actually cracking down hard on the bad guys! You don't think the bad guys are going to give up without a fight, do you?

I don't think Bogota would be cold enough for the winter Olympics. It never gets that cold and there is little natural snow and I think it would be more suited for the summer Olympics rather then the winter games. It can get plenty warm in Bogota when the sun is out although I wonder how the altitude would play in to it. I have known several people complain about trouble breathing and experience shortness of breath due to the altitude there.
