There is an illegal toll in the Colombian side of the border with Venezuela.!!

Transportadores que se movilizan a diario entre los dos países protestan por el cobro de peajes, que se inició hace 48 horas.

El mayor Miguel �ngel Botía, comandante la Policía de Carreteras Regional 5, dijo que escuadrones de policías antimotines Smad intentan controlar las protestas con gases lacrimógenos y que no hay paso de carros.

La sorpresa fue mayor para la ciudadanía el domingo, cuando fueron a pasar y ya estaban instaladas las casetas en los puentes internacionales Simón Bolívar, que une Cúcuta y San Antonio; y Francisco de Paula Santander, que conecta a la capital colombiana con la venezolana Ureña.

Los peajes fueron otorgados por 20 años al concesionario San Simón.

Los conductores que a se movilizan regularmente en la frontera dicen no estar dispuestos a pagar entre 1.000 y 10.000 pesos (según el tipo de vehículo) cada vez que pasan de uno a otro país.
