If I get my papers in time for Carnaval, I’m also going to need a place (don't like to stay with family, I crap and fart all day long, need privacy) but I’m not worried at all. I’m sure the fancy and moderate hotels will be booked but others should be ok, that's if you're not too fussy. There are plenty of places available, but you need to local to do the legwork for you.

Forget Barranquilla Plaza, Hotel del Prado, America Golf, Hotel Royale, etc. Those have long been booked up.

To add, all hotels/apartments are requiring a 50% deposit for reservations. Some only require a deposit of the 1st night.
