when i started this journey a little over month ago i thought we planned for everything .the waiting process -the missing each other - the nervousness of the whole process hoping there is no problems with the paperwork etc .the planning on the wedding and meeting my family when she arrives ...but the one thing you dont plan on is that a family member dies .. my father died last week which was difficult in itself of course .it was also very difficult as the girl you are in love with who wants to be with you through this difficult time can not under any circumstances and will never get to meet that person after looking so forward to it ..... i know many others have encountered similar circumstances through this process whether it be a death or extreme illness and my heart goes out to you ...the point i just wanted to make is that if you go through this process and the worst thing that happens is a 4-8 month wait but both you and your familys stay healty and happy consider it a blessing ...good luck and god bless everybody on their journey it will be worth the wait and the stress when it is over .

Dan says on Aug 7, 2005, 14:38: J: Sorry to hear about your loss. The best you can do is think and share with her all the good times you had and what he was like. I'm sure in a way, through you, she can know your dad. God Bless America! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Michael B says on Aug 7, 2005, 16:11: Sorry for your loss I think that Dan said it very well, she can know him through you. Honor his memory by showing her that your father raised a good man and a good husband (and when the time comes, a good father as well).

lpdiver says on Aug 11, 2005, 08:13: I had a similar experience. My brother died of pancreatic cancer and my 27 year old nephew died in his sleep while I was in the process of getting my love here. Two people that I very much would have loved for her to get to know. "cook some rice!" 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
