The most secure regions in Colombia

what are the most secure or lets say less dangerous regions in Colombia. I would like to buy some land or even a finca but I would like to have as less problems as possible with the FARC or los PARA.

thanks

T.

one place you wont find FARC or los PARA.
is around malgar,
the colombian army navy air bases are all there ,they do all the training in the mountain ,so you can go horse riding all round ok.and the weather is great if you like it hot.
if you dont know malgar its 2 hours from bogota, look on here you will find lots of photos of it.

The MOMENT you go south of Melgar or Girardot it's a hot zone again. In town you are fine though.

I would recommend Bogota Bucaramanga or Cartagena, depending on your climate tastes, for being REASONABLY safe. Or if you want rural there are plenty of nice places in northern Cundinamarca and southern Boyaca

the only way to deal with farc and street crime is PLOMO! that's why barranquilla's only concern is arroyos and exploding beers.
dumb modefoques leave beers IN freezers for too long and BANG!!! a fokin explosion

Cordoba and Sucre are safe unless of course you have any left wing ideas. You might consider Covenas which is right next to a large Colombian military base. As for the paracos, they're everywhere so it's best to have them on your side like Nationwide.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

the security situation in Colombia is fluid. It is ever-changing. Especially at the coast. I have a few familiares with cabanas around the antioquian coast and west, and they let me know sometimes the paramilitaries are unbearable, but sometimes not. The situation was especially bad when a lot demobilized and there was increased unemployment of former paras. They have sinced begun reorganizing thus ironically there are less problems.

but don't be stupid, play ball if required.

gringo spy said it in two words...llano grande. it's not that our evil spawn are not in residence there. it's just that they stay cool...they like the place...so does the president and the escobar family. they follow that old addage"don't shit where you sleep.

menn quilla is not that bad depending on where you are (like any city in the dang world)..relative to the other col cities. i have to back elmo up...even if you are a pasty ass non spanish speaking mofo and you are hanging out in gomela territory in the norte at night, you are decently safe. again, not saying stuff doesnt happen..but the coast, specifically in quilla is the only place i have ever though about hitchhiking and have also done it...chit i even grabbed a lift to a beach party wayy out of town with some policia..was drinking beer with them on the way and shooting some serious bs. they had the tough task of taking apart metal tent structures on the highway, not taking out farc in the jungle doing their best bomberman impression

brother spy....colinas...well, you can go up the hill towards the airport from llano grande rd. above tablaso...that ups your view between 400 to 600 ft. or continue on to carmen de viboral. where colinas, also, exist. outside of that on the prarie, do as prarie folk do, enjoy it. back below don diego, la ceja, el retiro, you'll find colinas and mtns. and on the south end of medallo, caldas, primavera and specifically amaga (all of which are cheap) you'll get the hills you like but the folks are not as cultured...i say that with respect. the, en masse are a bit the conversationalists one would find around the mercado in rionegro.
