Turn off the news It only makes you more depressed. Read the paper instead that way you don't have to watch those bastards chime in on everything thinking that the rest of us give a damn. I use to watch O'Rielly just to get really pissed off, I think I almost had a heart attack one day, and have sworn him off forever. Every once in awhile I flip past fox news (which is in a ratings death spin) and I catch a glimpse of that pasty faced fascist, and i feel like my head is going to explode. I imagine Lou Dobbs does the same thing for you. For me it was almost like a drug, I would watch it (THE NO SPIN ZONE!) and my blood would start to rush to my head, I hated him, and nearly everything he supported, I almost got hooked on the hate. It is a real downer, just drag yourself out with your buddies. Don't go fishing though, that dream your girl had is some scary shit.

Got it... Thanks to Morphus. So I dont know if you guys would understand this drawing but it took me 2 weeks to finish. I just drew some objects I was looking at on top of a cloth.




I have some more, but I have them at my mom's house I like to go there and paint, so I keep everything in there. As soon as I finish the other ones I can show them to you, if you guys still want me too.

art I didn't know we had such ardent sketchers here. I photograph and sketch the photos with chalk (to get a feel for the composition outside of film), then I paint the sketch with oil on canvas if I feel like producing a finished piece. This one is from a photo but the girl was clothed. I am not going to paint this when it's all the way done.

fun only I started drawing in the dirt with a stick while lying on my stomach in a tire swing. I studied in High School and then went to Parsons in NYC for a year as an illustration major and dropped out - I realized no one was going to pay me to paint and draw and play music so I decided to do those things for myself. Plus there is no deadlines in real life and you can paint whatever you whenever you want. And oils take a while to dry and I paint in layers - so deadlines in school (1 Week to do a painting) where really tough and I hate acrylic and guache.

The sweet smell I love the smell of oils. Squeezing the tubes onto pallet paper taped to a pallet and then mixing. All the different brushes. Also I paint some Van Gogh style stuff using different knives and "spreaders". It's so thick and strokie that it literally takes a month to dry. I gave my sister a painting for Christmas a few years ago and it was still wet while hanging on her wall in February. I can't wait to set up a studio in my MDE apartment. There's a bedroom that gets great indirect light all day. Perfect.
