the Mayan calender predicts the end of the world

in 2012. But for the last 30 years some group or individual has predicted the end of the world every month. The jehovahs Witnesses did in the 60s or 70s according to there mathmatical precision based on the bible. Frpm 1990 to the year 2000 so many groups and individuals predicted the end of the world, more than at any time in history and they often told us the exact day and they all woke up the next day thinking what will i see when i look out the window, and yes they saw cars going along and people walking thier dogs and they thought but today is meant to be the end of the world. Anyone thinking about the end of the world after all those predictions think again

The calendar ends in 2012 but the world? I see the glass as half full. The end of the calendar does not necessarily mean the end of the world, it could mean humanity will no longer need a calendar. It could indicate a positive change in human consciousness such that history will become totally unpredictable into the future, a true age of aquarius when cooperation will reign and conflict will be resolved without recourse to organized deadly force. A new age that will require a new calendar.

I agree with kevluvsmedellin that something is up... and I'm hoping it's something good!

The Mayan Engineers were Truly Amazing Considering their Mathematics, instruments and Physics for this time Period. One has to marvel at how they devised those devices to build Pyramids that are perfectly square and equal and aligned celestically , move and elevate large stones.Arithmetically they were geniuses. On the End,interesting to see how they arrived with their conclusion. Unfortunately for us their civilization is gone. And why?

If you get a chance, go to Tikal in Guatamala Truly awe-inspiring place but hot as hell as it´s jungle laiden.

It´s been in a Nike commercial and after dusting off some old VHS tapes to get psyched for Star Wars III, I just realized it´s in Return of the Jedi as well.

What creeps me out about 2012 is there is a mathematical code theory about the Torah that statistically cannot be proven wrong and it also says the world will end in 2012. This code predicted Hitler and 9-11 as well. Gives me chills.

end this nonsense about the mayan calender The jehovah witnesses could tell u with mathamatical precison the end of the world according to the bible. There was a hypnotist that progessed 5000 people in to the future and they all said the end of the world would be in 1997. How can 5000 people be wrong. I ahve just said that so many people have good reason to believe in the end of the world and it has never happened the mayans are no more specail than any other group

Hmmm... sounds like manipulation of data to "fit the curve" or maybe plain old hindsight. The obvious question: If these Torah scholars predicted Hitler and September 11th, where is the evidence that they did something about it?

2012?????? My grandmother predicted that the ‘yellowperil' will rule the world, I am serious. But then again, she was Irish. Fact; there are no snakes in Ireland.

The ‘yellowperil' I can see, and everyone else also. She could have suggested yellow fever, but I think not. There are more Chinese in the world than there are ‘true' Christians.

The world will end in 2012, at least it will for me, because at 65, statistically I will die then, so frankly I do not give a F.... (the extra period was the period at the end of the sentence)

Last night after two years of wrangling over the combined assets of the property and financial assets of our marriage, at enormous cost, my now ex wife and I, spent the best night of our lives together. No, not F......., Talking for the first time as to the underlying reason for our differences.

Basically, she cannot tolerate me talking casually to any other person, either male or female, including my children. Her son is a junkie, a nice kid, but a total drag on the rations. We differ in our ability to accept the other situation. 2012. C'mon babe'.

Financially busted, psychologically exhausted, dumbfounded with contra indicative advice, drained of logical emotion or thought, bewildered, as to the number of people who seem to have cashed in on our unfortunate situation. I wish them collectively, a long and slow painful demise, long before 2012.

I have read all the advice as to the action to be taken in the event of a relationship problem, taken from the posts over the last few years, and it looks as if I have been living in a dream world all of that time. Blinkered, I think would be the expression I would use. Possibly, blinded by love, Stupid is another expression that springs to mind.

2012? I would be content if the cataclysmic phenomenon happened now. Right now.....Shit, it has not happened yet. Roll on 2012.

OK. My lady in Colombia.. Ostrich like I have been burying my head in the sand. I had a relationship with a lady 20 years ago, exactly similar. Stupidly I could not see the wood for the trees. A total psycho. (I was not married at the time). My Colombiana has turned out to be exactly like the previous lady. I know I should have known better but, I know that you all know that it is not always seen so clearly from the inside.

I am in love with the lady that I knew in Colombia, but who now seems to be a different person.

I love Colombia. I want to go to Colombia, ????????????????????????????????

I am stuffed. I do not know which way to turn.

Advice again please.

correction on the Torah The scholars did not predict these events and many others, they have found them written in the Torah (Bible) after they happend. They are also looking for predictions, but to be able to find the words there you need to know what will happen ... catch 22 here.

Do a Google search for Torah or Bible Code and draw your own conclusions if it is for real or not.

Claim: There are hidden messages in the Bible (The original Hebrew Torah ('the original word of God')) which have apparently predicted events, including the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin, Anwar Sadat and the Kennedy brothers.

These 'predictions' have been found by using a computer to search for letters at to make words or phrases supposedly hidden in the Torah. The Bible Code was initially discovered by Israeli mathematician Dr Eliyahu Rips, amongst others.
