famsearch says on Aug 6, 2006, 22:19: no, just one interview. but, as they say, every silver lining has it's cloud. the only embassy approved doctors offices are in bogota. so that means i have to have my wife fly twice, once for the medical stuff, and once for the interview. still, the wait is almost over... dan 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

divina22 says on Aug 7, 2006, 06:56: Why don't youplan to go during the same week That's what my fiance did, he scheduled his medical exam for Wednesday, and his interview was on Friday. He flew in Tuesday night and stayed until Friday night....... I think that would make it easier than flying in twice, plus save a little money.......... are you joining her???? I woudl recommend it..... also we stayed in a decent hotel two blocks away from the Embassy..... let me know. :) Winners have simply formed the habit of doing things losers don't like to do....... 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

raalrock7 says on Aug 7, 2006, 07:03: Famsearch, when did you... get your NOA2? Actually i guess i should ask what route you took? and just a general timeline. I went the K-3 route and received my NOA2 for my 129-f. I am just curious as to about how long i have to wait between my NOA2 and the actual interview?

divina22 says on Aug 7, 2006, 14:27: NOA2 is... The notice they send you form the UCIS stating taht your cas eis approved and on it's way to Bogota for teh interview...... The hotel was the Colombian Suites.... I'll get the number and address for you, but it was pretty affordable.... 140.000 pesos a night.. they have a place to eat there but I suggest eating out, it's cheaper...... anyway, about having your wife go to Bogota twice.... she should call the Dr. and schedule her exams at least two days before her interview to save her that extra trip..... utopiacowboy says on Aug 7, 2006, 21:23: The lab does not take appointments so go to the lab early the same day that she has the doctor's appointment. If her doctor's appointment is in the afternoon, they will have the lab results. They usually give the visas the next day. Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

divina22 says on Aug 8, 2006, 05:12: If you can't be there... MAKE SURE YOU HAVE HER BRING EVERY FREAKING PIECE OF EVIDENCE.... My fiance was denied the first interview due to lack of evidence and there was a misscommunication because the CO thought when he said he didn't have any more evidence with him that he meant he had no more evidence at all and was flat out denied. I had to make several phone calls, send a couple of letters, and was finally given an appointment to come back. Of course, I had to make emergancy plans and head down there for two days in order to be there and brought tons of evidence (100 photos, 2,000+ e-mails) with me, which was a little exaggerated but when I spoke to the Supervisor, she said, good thing I had, our case was on her desk waiting for review to be sent back to the U.S... which would have delayed us possibly another 6 months+. If you can, make every effort to be there, especially beacsue she will be alone and it can be very intimidating, my excuse was the same thing, I couldn't be there because of work, but God I wish I would have done something the first time around in order to be there so he and I wouldn't have had to go through the hurt of being denied and feeling helpless..... just make sure if you can't be there that your fiancee has LOTS of evidence!!!! And if you can make it there, I suggest you do..... that's just from my own, personal experiences...... Buena suerte!!! Oh, gotta get that hotel number for you... :) Winners have simply formed the habit of doing things losers don't like to do....... 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
