The Gringo's Paisa selection Process:

Since so many people on this board are Gringos wishing to go to Medellin and meet the perfect Paisa, and seem to want to find all the answers here, I will share with you the typical selection process.

A modest, middle class, educated, middle aged, average looking Gringo traveled to Medellin to meet his dream Paisa. He had no interest in prepagos, whores, or dating agencies. His intentions were genuine, as he had already fallen in love with Colombia and Medellin. During his one month visit, he met three potential women, and had to decide which one he wanted:

The first woman was a wealthy, classy looking woman from El Poblado. She was his age, with a University degree, and spoke English quite well. Her family had money, so the American was not worried about her looking for a meal ticket. She herself had a good job working as a manager at an import export company. She had her own car, was divorced with no children, and seemed to be a genuine person. They had much in common, She was willing to move to the USA, but was not driven by such a goal. They shared many common values, and lived a very similar lifestyle. She seemed his equal, in many ways.

The second woman was a middle class woman from Belen. She was a little younger than the American, and very good looking. She was single, but with 2 children. She supported herself by working non-stop, and by being very good with her money. She was devoted to her children, was taking classes at a University, and was working at a bank to support herself and to help out with her family. Her family, whom she lived with, was also hard working and very supportive. She was a good cook, and "knew how to take care of her man". She never asked for any money, and didn't demand the American take her to expensive restaurants in Parque Lleras. Although she had little free time, she seemed to be a little more energetic than the first women, and a little better in bed.

The third woman was a young knockout. She was absolutely stunning. Many years younger than the American, but the age difference didn't seem to bother either of them. She was from a poor neighbourhood in Bello, and had a menial job working as a clerk in a store. She lived with her entire family in a very small townhouse, and the whole family pooled their money together. The family was tight knit, and on the whole, very very nice people. She had no children, and had never been married, but the American was a little worried about all the "boyfriends" she seemed to have. She was a little more high maintenance than the other two, wanting expensive gifts, going to expensive restaurants, and dreamed of having a family with the American and moving to the USA. She also insisted that the American help out a little with her family, not much, but a few thousand pesos here and there.

So... which one did he choose?
