Just food in General I rate Miami as one of the worst airports for just getting something descent to eat and being able to purchase it in an expedient manner. And then to believe they have been spending all that money just putting fake fish on the walls going in circles.

But right now, I really do not have a favorite airport in the USA for food. Anyone else?

No Smoking at McCarran Airport The day after a district court judge ruled Nevada's ban on smoking will stand, places all over Clark County are making changes. That includes McCarran Airport, where there's no smoking allowed inside anymore.

From now on you'll only be able to smoke outside, and not just anywhere outside. There are about a dozen designated smoking areas outside and airport officials say you can't leave those spots if you're smoking.

The new smoking restrictions went into effect at 8 last Friday morning. Smoking used to be allowed inside glass enclosed rooms, but not anymore. The ashtrays are all gone, the only thing you'll find are the slot machines.

theres a jose cuervo mexican restaurant its in terminal D - i think - food is far from great but drinking and chatting with random people is always a great way to make a long layover pass by pretty quickly ... also a couple of the waiters there are colombianos..

Casa Bacardi in MIA Casa Bacardi is my favorite place for my Mojitos or Rum and Cokes. Also La Carreta is very good for Cuban Sandwiches. But there is nothing like our Rum here in Medellin!!! Wepa!!

i've been annoyed with miami... ...ever since 2003, when we bought a pair of bacon cheeseburgers shortly before our flight to medellin. we opened them as we were backing away from the gate, and found that of the 2 of them, mine didn't have a hamburger patty. sis in law thought it was funnier than hell. the bastards...

oh yea think thats funny some years ago I was working in Vegas.....I went to MDs for lunch....I went up to the counter and told the girl ...I would like a Mac with only lettuce and tomato....got my order went to sit outside under a patio umbrella and open my burger....I opened the bun and hey no meat patty just the lettuce and tomato.....I took the burger back to the counter and showed the girl there was no meat in the patty.....she says...well sir you did only order lettuce and tomato.......there I was with my mouth wide open...she was right couldn't argue much with her...anyway then they gave me a burger with meat

MIA Has been run by the Cuban Politicians(mafia) for years And thats why you don't have a really good food court. They won't let any business that isn't in the Cuban click(circulo de Amigos)and who won't pay them a kickback. Why aren't there any Brazilain, Haitian, Jamacian or Colombian concessions in the Airport? Only Cuban themed concessions like LA Carreta ect? They ruined Miami airport as they have the city with all their scams. You want to see a Good Florida airport go to Tampa--they have trains heading heading out in a star shaped configuration so there isn't a long walk in any direction. Access from I-275 is a breeze, reletively speaking compared to Miami. The last Airport Director was a very competent Black Woman who managed the Atlanta Airport before coming to Miami but she was too Independent,smart and honest for the Cubans, She would't play ball in their scams so they forced her out. She did OK though as they had to buy out her contract for like $3 Million$$. The same designer built The Orlando Airport as the one who built Tampa.. Too bad he couldn't have done MIA as its a disaster that never finishes, plus the cost overun is like 50-100 Million $$ over budget and you still have to walk a Marathon depending on the flight! Terrible Airport for all the $$$ spent so far,,,

Miami... As a bonafied N. American, I noticed that the fine people in the Medillin airport spoke better english than those working in the Miami airport. I was real worried when I left Miami because I could barely understand the people there but was pleasantly surprised when I arrived in Medillin. Anybody got ideas on who has the best "how-to" spanish training software? Gotta learn before I return this summer!

Our experience with MIA ... ...has been so unpleasant we only fly direct from Atlanta to Bogotá via Delta or take Continental through Houston. We can often find cheaper tickets through MIA but it is not worth it.
