Sr Tertius says on Aug 28, 2007, 19:41: Hey Simon, I'm still waiting for the answers to my questions. Any way, what's definitely not a surprise is that this kind of bullshit gets some press and is multiplied here, in good ol' PBsH. juancegomez says on Aug 28, 2007, 21:44: I had not read that PDA communique which Sr Tertius posted, so thanks for that. Though I would have preferred that it contained more explicit and direct language about the FARC, such as the language that Mr. Petro himself employed earlier today in other media outlets, it's still good to know.

juancegomez says on Aug 28, 2007, 21:48: And for those wondering, here's what "Reyes" said, which is actually in the second part of an "El ClarÃn" piece. As I was saying...curiously enough, he leaves out many of the details that were present in the Leech interview from July.

Sr Tertius says on Aug 29, 2007, 08:45: Juance: Thanks for the transcripts and commentaries. I'll have to go through them with more time that I have now. What I find interesting is how everything that FARC says is derisively dismissed by the government, unless it is politically convenient, such as alleged and unrequested expressions of support to the opposition. I read parts of the transcript of Petro's reply and controversy with Gina Parody and it doesn't seem to me that you can be any more transparent and clear about the distinction between paraco-uribista relations and what Reyes has said.
