Yeah, yeah, everyone's time comes at some point. In Colombia, what is the preferred way of asking, "Will you marry me?" Would it be "¿Te casarás conmigo?" Or is the command form preferred, "Cásate conmigo"? Or something completely different? Thanks so much in advance for your help.

elkfarmer says on Jan 24, 2009, 18:31: Just go to an internet cafe. Go to Google traductor. Put in "will you marry me". Hit translate and hopefully see a big smile come across her face. If not, Lo Siento. God, I can't even remember how I asked my wife. We have only been married a year and she no habla English. I no habla Espanol. Whatever works, I guess.

Mononoke28 says on Jan 26, 2009, 10:47: I think most marriages in Colombia happen after they're either already expecting a baby or have been dating for such a long time that there isn't really another choice. So the whole fairytale moment of bending on one knee and saying "will you marry me?" almost never happens. It's all more like "ok, let's do it" or "I guess we should marry...?" type of thing.
