To the people living in or around/close to Cali (Colombia, of course), perhaps you can help us in one way or other. The Duck is accepting a Dog as a part of the package deal, as the Soon-2-B Ms Goin_South goes North. It is a BIG DAWG... A female black lab. So, I'm guessin, about 80 - 90 lbs. Yeah, I have even seen the dog, and I think that is about right. Ms Goin_North doesn't have one of those GIANT DAWG KENNELS... which, is necessary for the air transportation.
We (they) will need it .. VERY SOON. Not this week, but soon thereafter. She said someone told her you have to get them in Bogota or Medellin. I say... WHY NOT CALI? which is where she will be departing from for the eeuu.
IT DOES NOT NEED A NEW ONE. USED...is acceptable.
So, if someone can help.. You have one you would like to give away to a needy family...........
...........as a part of the CELEBRATION POR FIN. :-)
Perhaps someone there in Cali can call around, and see if somewhere they can purchase one of these, maybe in Exito, or at a Veterinarian Clinic.
Drop a note here, or...
PM me please, with any help.
Y, Un Mil Gracias!!

Robert Jorge says on Apr 13, 2008, 20:44: If Ms. Goin_North takes one of those mini vans that hold about 7 passengers, some may let her bring aboard the dog if it is well behaved and she pays the same for it that a normal passenger would pay. I saw a big dog in one of those little vans going between Bogota and Villavo. It is likely she will have to rent the entire van anyway. Her, two boys, and all the luggage. I got charged for two passengers when I had three large suitcases with me once. BEWARE of gold diggers. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

lampltr says on Apr 14, 2008, 08:27: GS- I had a large European Doberman that would not fit in an xtra large carrier. The Airlines (Northwest) Cargo provided dimensions to build one and the requirements....This may be an option for you there locally...Call around to the servicing airlines to see if this is feasible, times may have changed but you may get lucky. I do remember the kennel has to be so high above the ears and large enough for this guy to move around. Believe also the U.K. has one of the longest quarantine times in Europe. Best to you.....
