Dialogue and peaceful solution. That was the response received by the president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, the Panamanian Government after his regional tour seeking support to achieve at the summit of the Rio Group a resolution strongly condemning the Colombian military incursion into the territory of Ecuador.
From the steps of the Palais de las Garzas, an exalted Correa urged Panama and Latin America to close ranks to curb the president Alvaro Uribe. Otherwise, he warned: "Latin America will mourn tears of blood."
Correa arrived at the palace at 5:15 pm came from Nicaragua, where she managed to bring that country's president, Daniel Ortega, break relations with Colombia and arengara against Uribe, as he has done the Venezuelan Hugo Chavez.
After about 40 minutes talking with the president, Martin Torrijos, fell and publicly accused the Colombian Government of defiling and bombard the Ecuadorian territory. Now only accompanying Chancellor Lewis Navarro, who kept away.

Newsflash - Panama Does Not Break Diplomatic Relations with Colombia

Ecuador's President Rafael Correa visited Panama yesterday as part of a regional sweep to complain about Colombia's raid into Ecuadorian territory to kill FARC guerrilla commander Raul Reyes.
Today Nicaragua also severed diplomatic relations with Colombia in support. The news flash is that during their conversations here in Panama, Martin Torrijos probably listened to Correa and then said no, Panama will not be falling in line.
Here's the truth and fact - Reyes was a murderous narco-terrorist, directly responsible for the deaths of thousands in Colombia. Hugo Chavez needs a regional war to remain in power, and to attempt to realize his vision of recreating a Bolivarian Pan-Latino state based on a communistic model. It's not going to work, but there is a good possibility thousands might die while he tries to make it happen.
Chavez is very, very dangerous.
