thanx & help!

hey guys!
i'm new at this forum, although i've been visiting these pages like a year and a half ago, before i went to colombia... all the infos i got everywhere else were terrifying, so you can imagime how happy i was to have found the page! it was such a relief to hear something good about mi querida locombia...
so i went there, was supposed to stay for five months, decided to stay for as long as possible, which turned into ten months... to cut the long story short - i fell in love with the country! and its people, nature, history, tradition, even the habbit of always being late for everything (which i, kind of, adopted... :-) )
but now i have another problem - it's been five months since i came home and i simply CAN'T stop thinking about going back, about being there, doing rumba, eating platanitos, i even miss the pedreas!!!
and i can't go back, at least not for a while, because i have stuff to do here...
how can you help me this time?
thanx,
your nostalgic nina

I'm in the same boat Sorry, Nina wish I can help but I'm in the same boat sweety..
I have gone to Colombia for the last three years and going back at the end of this year for the ferias in Cali..just can't get enough of Colombias beautiful people, culture, food, party life and everything else it has to offer...oh and of course my great family that lives out there.
The most depressing day of the year for me is the day I get on that plane in Cali to head back to this dump we call New York, Don't get me wrong I love where I'm from (queens,NY) but It just doesn't compare to COLOMBIA

..I'm sure when I get back I'll be asking for your help..;)

Gooood luck

hm, i thought so...
but as i can see you're in a different position, you go there regularly, have a family there - you're making plans to go back!
and i can only dream about the day i'm gonna see all those great people i've met there... and i have so many who have told me "when you come back, remember: my home is your home". and i know they mean it! that's the catch - i cannot get used to my people here, i mean, they're nice, but... something's missing, that happiness the colombians receive the people with...
ok, i guess i have to stop whining and start doing something about my situation, but it's killing me to know that for now i can't do anything...
anyway, thanks for reminding me there are more of you out there!
