NEWS STORY - RETIRING IN COLOMBIA

(I am posting this for someone else)

Hello All,
I am a reporter for Reuters working in Bogota and am researching a story on Colombia as an up-and-coming retirement destination. It would be very helpful if I could speak to some expats originally from the US/Europe who have recently retired in Colombia. Those living in Bogota would be especially helpful.

I would appreciate it if you could either give me their contact information, or give them my information so that I may use them as potential references. They can either call me on my cell: 57 + 03 +
313 354 8497, or reach me by e-mail: Laventurea at wlu.edu.

If are not an official retiree, I would also like to speak to you about your relocation.
Any contacts you can offer are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

reasons for choosing colombia. with all her problems, there's something romantic about life in colombia. i started back in the '90's and never left. i'd need to sit and really go over it to answer your question. now i, personally, have zero love for bogota...however, medellin is another story. if you'ld like, you can e me at dwmte7 at yahoo.com and ask any particulars, you'ld like. medellin and it's surrounds have been home for 19 years. ask away.
