Tell Us a Story Elmo!

Listening to some Vallenato-that sweet plaintive music of Elmodefoque's native land-I was reminded of how he once hinted that he would one day tell us the true story of how he ended up living in Nueva York.

What a journey it must have been!

With the start of the New Year wouldn't it be nice for us to hear the drama, the heartbreak, the strange food/weather/customs in El Norte and how they shaped that young kid into the unique funny guy we all treasure.

Food/weather/customs? I just wanna hear him talk about laying pipe and El Chiquito.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

i agree, sam... we really do have a delightful and entertaining treasure in our resident modofoque...

his self effacing and humbling comments about anything and everything (everyone) serve to remind us of why we should wear life lightly. i don't think he'd be different if he were born in beverly hills. he's just a special guy with a healthy outlook on life and all that comes with it.

thanks elmo, maybe we'll meet someday. and, yeah, tell us a story... i don't care if it's about new york, barranquilla, the moon or tail...just tell us a story.

peace, bro and happy new year.

the oldgringo surmises.. that elmo is having a very good time relaxing these days..
his commandante, like the oldgringos', is in colombia,
doing the family thing,.. shouting, yelling, crying, laughing, running, waiting, worrying etc.,... and and we get to do NOTHING.
it's fantastic...best attention year round,...and then,...a break.
maybe he went up to nova scotia to meet ricky and bubbles,
you know, the canadian corronchos.
or maybe he is feeding the poor in a soup kitchen.
for sure, the oldgringo can attest for elmos veracity,
he tells no lies, and he is tall for an indio, just look at our photo, WHENEVER ELMO POSTS IT!!!
anyway, its time for a newyears blunt, sorry drugless, it must suck to live in the south of america, but thanks for the good wishes the other day. and cowboy, just who did you borrow that patently ridiculous disclaimer from? the oldone remembers the original, but not the poster...
and never poach a salmon.

Sobre Modofoque I talked to him both Friday and yesterday; he really has developed that good old gringo trait of kicking back while at home, and only spouting sh~t here while on company time at work.

Like the old gringo, he is like a pig in sh~t with his comandante doing her cachaca thing in Medellín.

We are plotting our next invasion of Barranquilla in February, and if you muchachos want to join our version of AUC (AutorumberosUnidadesCorronchos), you are most welcome to fight for the cause.

If you cannot participate, I am certain that Don Elmo, his nephew Corroncho Jhon and I will be able to take care of business.

Felíz año nuevo mis llaves.

'....don't bogart that roach my friend..." you can send it to me...

peace brother,

druglass...

There is actually a faint glimmer that I may be able to join you guys for carnaval week, but we'll see how things play out. Depends on among other things if my gf can afford to take the time off!
