Which certification is more valuable/popular in Colombia, the TEFL or CELTA (or does it really seem to matter)? Also, does it seem to matter much that you completed the course in Colombia or another country?
Bridge-Linguatec offers an online course. This would be nice because I could get the certification done without having to quit work yet, but what will be the response from schools? Anyone have any experience with how the online programs are looked upon?
Last question, is hiring rigidly season-sensitive? i.e., Is it far more probable of getting a job offer in particular months or does it matter? I've got a grad degree from a fairly good school, double undergrad degrees, and some good business experience so I'm not overly concerned about not being able to find anything but just trying to plan ahead. Any ideas?
thanks,joe.

caslug says on Aug 16, 2006, 12:14: joe.. w/ grad degree.. i would start contacting international school and university.. skip the english institute.. those places will process work visa for you IF they want to hire you. Also, forget about online course, it's a waste of money.. tried to take the TEFL/CELTA course IN THE CITY you want to work in.. In col, the biggest market is bog..
