I will never go to a US dentist again outside of an emergency. My family and I have gotten a lot of dental work done in Colombia and have been very pleased at the quality of service and cost. I had to get some work done in Neiva last week. They did a cleaning, an "alargamiento de corona"(minor periodontal surgery), a root canal, and a filling for $278.000 COP.

Next time I'm in Bogota, I will be getting a crown. My US dentist asked for about $1,000 plus the additional nickel and diming that will likely come. I will probably pay less than a third of that it Colombia for work of equal quality.
