Teaching english in Bogota

I've just been reading about visa's and am having a bit of a panic. I'm planning to move to Bogota in September. I'll be joining my partner, colombian, who's just left the uk. I have a tefl cert, and have lived in Bogota before teaching english without a visa. But this time i don' intend to return to the uk to live and want to be 100% legal. I know i need a job offer before i go and need to sort the visa out before i leave. What worries me is that i've just read in one of the articles here that you have to have a degree or professional qualification to get the visa, is this true, prior to reading this i didn't think there would be a problem, but now my hearts in my throat, anyone able to shed some light on the situation, is it a problem and are there solutions?? Would apreciate any advice, many thanks
