As of the first of the year the minimum fare for taxi service in Medellin went up 300 pesos to 2800. I won't get rich on the small jump in cab fare but every little bit counts. Monica was happy with the rate increase.
The fare to the airport jumped to 39,000 pesos, up 4,000 pesos.
Other modes of public transportation went up slightly as well.

Personally most of my trips seem to run about in the five thousand peso range as it seems we are always going from one side of the city to the other. My wife's family lives in the 12 October area and we stay on the other side of town. "cook some rice!" 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
