If you have a residence in Colombia, and you rent it out, does one have to pay taxes on that rental income?

Brians says on May 15, 2007, 13:22: They assume a 6% rental income based on the value of the property from what I can tell. I believe that this is only on secondary properties. I am far from 100% on this but will find out soon enough.

mapangpang says on May 15, 2007, 20:35: less then 80 milion investment What i know is that you may not have an investment over 80 milion (registered with the Banco de la Republica) and your income must be under a certain level also. You may not have residence in the country for more then 6 months per year. Then you are free of Colombian taxes, except for the normal property taxes (predial). So you may have income from renting out your property. I've signed contracts once when legalizing euro in to pesos that i was aware of those Colombian laws for foreign investors. All the wired money to Colombia then will be registered with the Banco de la Republica. Mapangpang.nl - Furnished rooms 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
