Tax

So, I’m about to enter the dark world of the Colombian tax system. By that, I mean, I wish to register my business and start paying tax. Is this a simple process? To be honest, I know nothing, except everyone tells me I would be crazy to pay tax.

For example, my first question is… I understand I can register my company as an ‘individual’ or as a ‘company’. I’m not clear as to the difference, though I’m told there may be some big implications in terms of tax payments.

So who has done this before?

The tax you will pay will depend on many factors like: how much money is moving in and out, how much patrimony (patrimonio) you have, and how many different businesses you own.
