Ive seen so very beautiful things here in colombia and I had an idea to take home some pretty and fun jewllery and garments to sell at weekend markets in OZ. Does anyone know what the limit is for stuff like that in personal luggage. I know not to take stuff made of wood or animal skin, but if I took quarintine legal things Clothes, jewllery, beads, hair stuff, whats the limit?? Anyone?

kernow62 says on Oct 18, 2004, 04:26: Botero figurines I had purchased some nice bronze figurines of some of Botero's works. I decided to seek out a few more, but had trouble finding them in Bogota, the shops that did not carry them explained that they were forbidden to sell them because Botero did not authorise them, and furthermore the fakes are confiscated at the airport. Yikes! I had just spent about 500,000 pesos and now they were going to confiscate them. Later I went back to the shop where I purchased them in Hacienda Santa Barbara and asked them if this were true, the clerk simply dodged about answering one way or the other, so I didn't buy any more Botero bronzes.

She’s following her heart and ended up in the middle of the Andes Mountains, Bogotá, with the damn in-laws. How many women do you know that will leave all the comforts of the first world to live in Colombia or anywhere in South America for that matter? not many or any at all, but you will see millions heading the other way. In my eyes she’s definitely very, very special. I'll get there, when I get there! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
