Why don't you just upload all the designs to a online tshirt shop, give members the link to the site and they can order whichever one they like and you don't have to go through the hassle of voting, tallying etc.... ??

PS: I think you might have a problem with a couple of the designs not being print ready. Your supplier, regardless of who you use usually needs vector graphics.

It's not too late to do so, mind you ;-) since the contest hasn't ended as yet:

a) Rule #12a-paragraph 37b
Votes cast through proxy IP do not count
b) Rule #18c-paragraph 57c
Votes from multiples accounts do not count

c) Rule #9d-paragraph 19m
PBH won't accept entries from members who have been banned (i.e. expelled) from PBH) for having ruined and undermined PBH's reputation.
PBH does not welcome back those members and certainly won't accept them doing ANY promotion for this site.

first paragraph - offered very insightful idea to be able to use the top designs in many ways, on many garments or products.

second paragraph - online t shirt shops such as cafepress.com do not require vector files. they use PNG format on dark shirts and JPG works fine on white or other light/pastel colored garments. vector files are required by screen printers most of the time (it's preferred) but layered photoshop files will also work. so long as color separation is possible so they can burn their screens then it's all good.

i've worked in 6 different screen printing facilities over the course of 30 years and printed everything from 55 gal drums to thong underwear to swiss army knives, but mostly printed garments and designed for garment imprinting. any of the above designs will print equally well on a t shirt via the cafepress route. how good will they look once printed is another question.

to go and print any quantity of shirts via traditional screen printing process would prove wasteful as well as harmful to the environment - i won't elaborate too much but there are some nasty chemicals that typically get flushed as the screens are processed. to have the top few designs available at an online shop that prints them as they are ordered would be the greener way to go and allow peope to get what they want so babygirl is a genius for bringing that up.

there's also no real admin involved. the buyer goes to the online storefront set up my someone here and its all turnkey. all you do is set your markup amount on the shirts - can't go that far with that because base prices are already high but if you allow your markup to go to a charity like the poor kids on the streets in colombia, then i'll pay extra - - - anyhow, nobody has to get involved with the buying and selling from an admin perspective. people just use the site after it's set up and that's it.

oh yeah - i'm not voting in this but it's fun to watch.

it's sooooooooooooo easy with cafepress to handle sales, payments, fulfillment that you don't even have to pay attention to it. you just populate the storefront with garments they have available - slap the artwork on the shirts with an easy built in wysiwyg placement tool and the back end of the site handles everything from that point on. all you do then is check your sales every now and then and see what your profit statement is - - of course so you know how much you're giving to colombian charities ~

i don't work for cafepress by the way - - i just have an account with them and it works like a charm. i go look every month or so and see what i'm getting paid to do absolutely nothing and that's it.

here's a perfect example: http://www.cafepress.com/HanksGym - it's not my cafe press site for race cars - but you see you can just pick whatever floats your boat and any number of designs can be up there instead of just one lackluster "design" that a few will buy. something for everyyyyyyyyybodyyyyyyyy. then you'll have a true vote - the sales will tell the tale. haaaaa!

ahhh it's time for another hatchet fight on pbh - - ok - i have no problem doing the set up - it's a no brainer and there is no maintenance once it's set up. and as for your insults - whatever - you can't touch me in 1000 years - don't have the power to period. let peter or any trustee contact me and request that a cafepress site be set up and send me the highest res files possible for any images to be printed and i'll be happy to do it. noooooooo problem at all.

Lipper has a cafepress page too and he knows as well as i do that once you have one set up you can click - "add another storefront" and from there it's about a half hour to an hour of selecting and populating garments. done deal. click the link above and you can see many of the garments they have available. pricing is already set - just add markup if any and that becomes the visible purchase price to buyers. purchasing is turnkey - handled by cafepress so the buyer never deals with pbh - they just go to the site - buy what they want and enter shipping info. nooooo brainerrrrrrrrrrrr. peter gets a check in the mail in various timeframes he can choose. monthly, quarterly, whatever.

btw GringoOrion, ya I realized after I checked out cafepress that you didn't need vector images. I just uploaded a hi res jpg for my mock up in my store front, looks fine. My mention of vector images was more in specific reference to the web image in number 5, I think that would look like ass printed and the paint brush globe in number 4.
