Swine Flu Vaccinacion for travel to Venezuela?

I have some friends wanting to leave tomorrow from colombia to Caracas to catch there flight home. They were told today that you can't enter Venezuela without having had the Swine Flu vaccination.

Has anyone heard anything of this sort. Is there even a swine flue vaccination? Is there such requirements and if so where to you go to get such a vaccination?

Cheers

Sounds like someone is trying to scam you and sell you a shot of B-12.

They make you wash your hands at DAS. Then they make your sit down and write your travel history for the last 2 years. Then they have someone interview you to see if you have any symptoms. A complete waste of time, but you do NOT need shots.

A seasonal flu vaccination does absolutely nothing for swine flu (N1H1). However Governments have often adopted policies that are based on fear rather than science. It will take months before a N1H1 vaccine is developed.

No. Even Venezuela would not do that. Seasonal Flu is just the typical ordinary flu that has been around for a long time and the vaccine is for elderly or those with poor immune systems used for their own protection.

Can not find any changes to entry requirement except that they are following the WHO recommendations such that they are looking for symptoms of N1H1 (which supports what "somedumbguy" stated above).
