Any ideas on a day trip with car from Bogota within less than 2 hours from Bogota to a hotel that allows day visitors to use pool. Good Place.

There place called Pisclago (sp) in the Girardot / Melgar that has a great pool. It is a membership type of place but maybe someone can help you with that problem. Maybe it is a Cafam or Colsubsidio affiliation club

Melgar is really a bit far for a daytrip.
If you want to go for a day, close to Bogotá try maybe Choachí where there are "termales". Only about 35km from la capital.

There are several clubs between Bogota and Chia that have pools. Both indoor and outdoor with some of them heated.

You can see the pool in this photo at Country Club de Bogotá.

Hatogrande has a huge pool.

Robert Trent Jones designed the course at El Rincon de Cajica Golf & Country Club. There is an indoor pool there. Golf is the game here. Hard to get into without member introduction.

True but you should be able to find someone who can intercede on your behalf. I have been in all of them.

In all but one I have family who are members. In the other my real estate agent provided the arrangements. These clubs also have temporary memberships which are low in comparison.

I've never heard of temporary memberships at the country club in Bogota. Either you're a member or you're invited by one and that is pretty much it. Unless of course there is a special event and even then access remains pretty exclusive.

Does anyone have any information on regular swim clubs in Bogota? I know Gimnasio Moderno has a pool, and I used to swim there but have since moved father south and therefore it is not as convenient. However their pool is clean, as are the locker rooms, and the swimmers there understand and follow lap lane etiquitte.

Does anyone know of any other pools...for example in el centro? Or does anyone have any information on how to get into the Centro Aquatico out by Parque Bolivar?

Some gyms got pools Bodytech at 19 av and 120 something, and I the one in Suba got one as well. Colsubsidio club at Ave Suba and Boyaca also got one.

Compensar on Ave 68 and maybe the new one on Autopista norte and 90 does have one.

In reference to your original post, I've been told that the Chinauta Resort near Fusa is a nice place to go for a short trip with swimming. I think there is a small waterpark as well. I looked into it last year, but decided to go elsewhere.

The number I found was 1-867-9407

If I recall correctly, it was about $300.000 a night, but that was for a suite.

You can use the Bogota Country Club if you are a member of another private club anywhere in the world, but you must have a credential card from your private club, wherever it might be. It works also if you are a member of for example Campestre in Medellin if you are in Colombia. I know, my family have been members from the very beginnings of the CCB foundation, and the Campestre in Medellin.

I do wonder how anyone would want to swim in a pool in Burungota'.
