We all know that there are lots of english classes in Colombia - as well as frensh, german etc..
But I heard about a swedish class in one of the universities in Medellin. Not swedes but colombians who learn swedish. Could that really be possible? I mean - swedish with less than 9 million users is far from a "world-language".
Does anyone of you know something about this? As I´m swedish myself I´m of course very curious.
Thanks in advance.

ColombiaBoard says on Jul 13, 2005, 08:20: Languages Yes that´s right, there are also hebrew, chinese (very popular now) and japanese classes in several universities. Law students still study latin for a semester and priests study greek, hebrew and latin too.
