Where is the most beautiful sunset in Colombia? I am trying to travel Colombia and see them all. My favorite so far is on the Amazon river in Leticia.

They are OK where I am but is there something,, better about different places ??? I mean is it possible to post a photo of a sunset you've sen ? That way I could compare. Comparisons are necessary or how would anyone know what is the best ??? Here, I'll let you see mine !!!

I've got another one from yesterday but it needs to be developed,, the bits need to sit in memory overnight to give the sky that blue look.

This is from my front deck,, I have a back, side and a open spot in the roof,, however the front direction seems the best,, maybe it isn't the location that is important but the direction ?

PS: I wouldn't set my heart on seeing a sunset in Pereira.

PS2: I haven't been that hot on the Amazon since seeing the documentary about the little parasite (fish?) that swam up a guys pipi and didn't come out and it hurt like hell and the guy didn't sleep well at night,,, lots of problems but guess what,, they discovered the fish and "cut it out",, now I'd bet that felt good ?

Sunset? Your photo is not a sunset!!

Sunset occurs as the sun disappears beneath the horizon, your photo is "dusk" or "twilight" which occurs after sunset.

...but it is a great shot

Here is a sunset!

Nice Picture Well, I wouldn't get in the Amazon anyway with the huge snakes, crocs, piranhas, and the little thing they say swims up the guys willie. I like to see nature but not too up close and personal. The boat is the closest I get.

what about those people who have posted here.... don't some say they have swam in the Amazon River in or around Leticia, where they reportedly have pink dolphins, and without any of these problems? (snakes, crocs, pirahnas, and the micro-fish?)

Hummm, what if the sun is behind the mountain ? Anyway,, see why I wanted a comparison photo ?

This is a sunset in Cartagena.

This is another sunset at the beach.

PS: This is my scaffolding delivery guy. You would think there would be a limit to how much these guys carry in the tricycle but no,, if it fits,, it will cost you 3,000 pesos anywhere in town. I'd bet an elephant would fit it he stood on one foot !

I live in the poor part at the bottom of the hill so the guys are always happy to see me because they know their trip will be downhill.

This is NOT a sunset,, it is ???? Twilight ??? Dusk ?? Looking down the street. I don't live there anymore. I live in a lower neighborhood. The sunsets are more difficult to see, I can't see much from the backyard ??? Maybe this has something to do with the house obscuring the view ? If I go into the street all I can see is the front of other houses ?

Based on this I'd say it is useless trying to observe a sunset from grade level.

I was excited to "steal" (price only) this excellent rebar bender. 9mm is the maximum size it will bend.

Exactly what I thought was maybe correct If the sunset is behind a mountain, the mountain is your horizon

A LITTLE BIT of sun needs to be showing, about the size of what ??? a sliver of the corona? or does the corona of the sun count? It's not exactly the sun,, kind of like a TAINT?

This appears to be a sunset ? Right ?

I think this is the sunset over the "Pregant Woman Hill" at Lake Titikaka.

PS: I thought PITAYAS were OUT of season. Whew,, bought a two week supply. Add a banana, water, ice, blend it all and you will have a great "smoothie".

Poco, that is awesome photo. Where is this Lake Titikaka? I have heard/been told before, but must have burnt that brain cell.

You and Brode Son deliciosas! but be careful, do no eat more than 1/2, or you will be in the toilet for a long time.

Will be the cause of Pitaya farmers starving.

Brode mentioned eat six and you will be on the pot,, Ha,,, maybe but I've never had a reason to eat 6 of anything. I like Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches and if I ate 6 I'd need to eat 6 Pitays to have a bowel movement.

I have eaten two a day with NO problem,, these things are GREAT,, they are naturally sweet. Blend with a papaya, small amount of water a cube of ice and you have a great JUICE.

The girl I'm with says Papaya / Pitaya juice will kill me,, or at least I'll suffer from bad health or at a minimum runny stool. Colombia is full of this kind of nonsense.

I prepared this drink,,, One banana, One BIG Pitaya, ice, water. Blend the whole banana, HALF the pitaya, when finished cut the other half into 5 or 6 parts and put it in the cup.

I drank most of this before I remembered to take a photo.

Further posts mean I'm still alive.
