After extensive research and much surfing of net I have booked a holiday break of 10 days in Cartagena for my friend and me specifically to be there during the beauty contest .
There is only one problem ,I have got the dates wrong and now we are locked into some work in Nicaragua so unable to change dates, somehow I have arranged to be leaving Colombia the day the contest starts ( 5/11/05)....don't ask how !!!
I am trying to look on the bright side of this oversight but my friend wants blood.
Already as a punishment I have offered to buy everything thrust at me from beach touts for a short time or worse still spend more than 5 minutes talking with Tony the tout ,from same beach......but still he is raging ........so any suggestions ........surely there must be positives to this situation ???

Mr. Hollywood says on Oct 10, 2005, 16:41: Every day Man, every day in Cartagena is a better beauty pageant than anything you're going to see on the stage at the "real" beauty pageant. You did your buddy a favor by screwing up. Why stare at beautiful women up performing like poodles when the city is swarming with much more accessible and beautiful women?
