PBH / colombia (travelguide, pictures) / post |
I’m planning on star a business. I want to import arts and crafts from Colombia and eventually if everything goes well I want to import from different countries of South America. Does any one has any suggestions, or any information of how expensive and how hard is to bring stuff from other countries to here; I’m in Florida so I guess everything will have to go through Miami.
First I want to know if is worth the trouble.
Thanks for your suggestions

Peter Miami says on Jun 1, 2005, 17:12: Luz Carime Take a look at your market very well. I do not want to discourage you because it is very admirable. I live in Miami and you can get anything Colombian that you want. I am not Colombian but I know a lot of Colombians here in my area. Most of the businesses they have started have not made it but the one that I have seen that is the most successful for small business is women's clothing. Colombian and non-Colombian women love some of the clothing from Colombia like low cut tight jeans, small tops and accessories and specially the prices. Because, even after making a profit you could sell it much cheaper that the stores or boutiques.
