Suggestion

Here I am stuck inside because of a bad sunburn from over the weekend. I was thinking that in Travel Guides there could be a subsection of transportation guides (i.e, Transmilenio, flotas between cities, taxi info, etc.). and a section about restaurant in each major city. I notice that some restaurants are named but many have no addresses or even vicinity attached. I was thinking that we could do Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Cartagena, etc. and first highlight the restaurants that prepare Colombian food from each region. Then we could add Colombian chains like Crepes & waffles and more upmarket places like that which have a few locations.

Something like:
BOGOTA
restaurantes cundinamarqueses: .....
restaurantes vallecaucanos:...
...antioquenos:...
...llaneros...
...chocoanos:...
...costenos:...

This idea comes from the fact that many culinary guides to cities that I have found on the 'net or in guides are either very overwhelmingling long with no info about what kind of food it is or else only feature a select few restaurants. For example, last year I went to a chocoano (??) restaurant near La Candelaria, but could not tell you the name or address, though would recommend it.

Ahhh! Maybe there could be a form to fill out such as the one here to post a new comment. Something with fields like restaurant name, address (maybe could put btw. Calle XXX & Cras XX & XX if the exact address is not known), type of food (could have a "Colombian? check yes or no", then a more detailed description, i.e., paisa, chocoano, italiano, japones, ect.), prices (very cheap, low, moderate, expensive), service, reccomended plates, and additonal comments.

Good ideas.. I'm going to work on that over the following weeks (not this week or next week, but after that...)!

Poor but snappy
