STudyding in Colombia..

Hi all!!
I'm thinking of going to Colombia for a cultural experience and also to learn spanish. Do any one have any good recommendation of schools in either Bogota or Barranquilla?
Also, is there anything i should take note??

Thanks!!

Thanks for the replies!!
First, i'm a female.. so wont be banging and putas! haha..
I choose these 2 city because Bogota is the capital, and i will get free lodging in Barranquilla.
I'm actually pretty concern about the security as i'm a female Asian.

Bogota has the most opportunity in the country - far and away...it is far from nasty, but to be sure, losers like juancho00 get weeded out pretty quickly in the most sophisticated city in the country. If you are serious, and not juancho00, take a look at Bogota. That is where the serious Spanish language learners mostly are...

Bogota can be exy - Javeriana is expensive but good, was 1,950,000 pesos for a 5 weeks cse last time I looked (over ayear ago). There is also HTL, I paid 1,750,000 for 120 hrs there. I did not like the course as they dont teach grammer; but some people like that style. You can do 10 hrs for free to check out if you like it.

Baranquilla - agree with the above; I would never want to learn spanish with that accent.

Medellin has EAFIT, which many people go to. All in all, colombia isnt a great place to learn spanish as the schools are expensive and dont have many choices. Better to go to Panama, Ecuador or Guatemala to learn IMO!

Investment Strategy - buying when others are crying!! Offloading when others are gloating!!!

I opened a language school for colombians and I need native teachers. Also and offering spanish courses for foreigners and I offer cheap and clean and well located accommodation if need it. The most important I opened a children foundation so we can pay children education and that you can meet many locals and live a real colombian way of life, besides if you want to learn a good spanish you must come to bogota because of the lack of any accent.

if you need more info let me know slashdave at gmail.com
