So I graduated in the states and have done some college. My mother was born in quilla and I have made it somewhat of a hobby to travel there every chance i get and of course it helps that my dad works for the airlines... so i fly free. Anyway, I guess Im going through what I would call my quarter-life crisis. I have woken up, scared, wondering what I am going to do with my life. Im a junior, studying health science and absolutely hating it. I have always wanted to go abroad for school and work, im one of the few that would love to go back to the roots of my being. SO my question to you all is this: What do I need to be able to enroll in a university? I have looked into the websites of uninorte, uni autonoma and simon bolivar. to my understanding, i need a student visa, which is extremely obvious but that i see all i need to do is enter as a tourist then find a university and pay for the visa. my worry are about the icfes tests and what not and how they would validate my american diploma and the 64 credits I have earned in college so far. I have also looked into taking a TEFL course to teach english.
Please help.

I know a couple of American girls who study in Uninorte, if you send me a PM, I will pass on there details. Mayeb they can give you a more accurate picture.

As for validating the diploma: esanch36 is right: they will probably validate your US diploma in Colombia, but the other way round it might be a little hard (although it's usually no problem). Just check beforehand so you know what you're getting into. Poor but snappy 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
